Summer at Stevns Cliff
June, July and August in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Havkajak Stevns offers a tour along Stevns Cliff with an experienced tourguide.
We will be paddling north from “Fiskerihavnen” towards the “Stevnsfort” and back.
This is a roundtrip of about 8 km.
The distance will be adjusted to match the weather and the kayakers abilities. Thus we may not always get all the way to the fortress.

Prerequisites for participation
Depending on the weather You should be dressed appropriately for kayaking and bring spare dry clothes with you e.g. in a plastic bag.You must have been kayaking before or you must have participated in our Kayak Introduction.
We will be paddling close to the cliff but the Baltic Sea is an open sea.
We therefore must reserve the right to refuse participation if weather conditions make paddling skills seam insufficient.
We shall meet at our club Havkajak Stevns at Fiskerihavnen 2, at 8:45 a.m. for registration and outfitting.
Participation fee is dkr 250,-, which includes a kayak with prescribed safety equipment.
June, July and August from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Havkajak Stevns offers an introduction to sea kayak paddling.
Launching from the beach you will learn how to get into a kayak,
how to get the best fit,
and how to easily get out of the kayak if you happen to capsize.
Afterwards, you learn how to get back into the kayak using assistance from another kayaker.
Finally, we paddle towards the south to the nearby reef at Fællesskov, practising basic paddling technique and enjoying a little rock gardening in sheltered water.

In July we offer membership on special introductory terms for local tours.
The membership fee is paid as dkr 250,- on account at each occasion (day) with no obligation to continue.

You should join our kayak introduction course if you haven’t been kayaking before.
Then you will be combining the basic training with experiencing our coast.
